Microsoft approached us to define the visual style for the brand's global approach to illustration. The guides and principles we established live on across the brand as each product group has embraced the visual approach to tell their own stories.
I conducted an audit that led to a unifying set of principles and visual guides mapping to the larger brand personality. With those principles we established key stories for the brand's first round of illustration. I helped select and then art direct four amazing illustrators to build the library.
